How can I pour out a stream of thoughts

to quench the thirst of your droughty lands,

from a plain dry desert of mind?

I believe no flowers have blossomed therein,

For you to smell the fragrance of,

It feels like a pain, a burden, a sin

To cultivate this accursed land to win.

Any attempts to ease the pain

Have all been in vain;

The pain has erupted into a storm,

A shower of formless ash and dust

Hurling at the very core of my soul,

Turning my mind to sheer rust.
